I’ve said some negative things about Rolex. I think they act really slow, haven’t innovated much lately, and play it too safe. Regardless, Rolex has a few powerful classic designs under its belt. The two major ones for me are the Submariner lines, and the Daytona. Speaking of the Daytona,fake omega, I understand that it is one of the most desirable watches on the planet from a demand standpoint, meaning more people want one, that can get one. Rolex has taken this opportunity to increase the prices dramatically. Meaning you can’t really get one for under $10k. Steep.

Well what do you do when you want a something like a Daytona, but can’t afford or get one. Sure there are legions of “imitations” that are simple low cost alternatives or play out fakes, but you aren’t that type of person? You like the style, but you want something nice you can be proud of on your wrist. For me, this is a totally logical approach to satisfying a need. Others feel that if you can’t afford a Rolex, you don’t deserve to wear the style. Well let those stop here, and the rest of you can keep reading.

Marcello C. is a great German brand, that I love to talk about. I own four of their watches at the moment, and have been extremely satisfied with my ownership experience. One watch I’ve been curious about is their Senatore. A Rolex Daytona inspired watch, that certainly has a lot of Marcello C. in it. You’ll notice a lot of their limited edition Titanium Tridente diver watch in the Senatore (large 12, and the hands). There is also a wonderfully cohesive look that takes the Daytona style, and moves is a different, dare I say Teutonic, direction. My model of choice is the Marcello C. Senatore 2020.4, made in the color scheme of the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona. The black face with the red trim is snazzy. The tri-compax layout of the chronograph dials, never had a more flattering frame, and the red arrow tipped seconds counter hand for the chronograph fits nicely in place. Marcello C. uses a Valjoux 7750 automatic movement which is about as trusted a movement as you can get.

An interesting thing about the Senatore is bracelet with the wide middle link. I’d love to see how this looks, but I have a feeling it gives the watch a really impressive look on your wrist. The bracelet is 22mm wide, while the case is 42.5mm wide. I am not sure how I feel about the see-through caseback window being mineral glass, but the crystal on the face is sapphire of course. This watch actually represents the most expensive, non-precious metal watch that Marcello C. makes. At a current price of over $3,600, it is several times more than Marcello C. largest saleer, the sub $1000 Nettuno 3. You do have to consider the price of a Rolex Daytona too, and the fact that a Marcello C. is a finely made watch, with little comparison.

The Marcello C. Senatore 2020.4 is only sold in Europe,breitling watches, but other Senatore models are offered in the US. I’d love to get my hands on one of these watches, and if I do, you’ll hear all about it.

The Classic Sport collection is a new range of men’s and women’s watch models from Ebel. Every new watch collection from Ebel has its own features that are different from other watch collections of Ebel. Most important of which is the “monohull” case design. Meaning that the watch case is totally one piece. It seems quite impossible. But the truth is that such a fact makes the watch collectors creazy and all want to have one of such a watch. Everything is put in the case via the top, where a screwed down bezel and sapphire crystal hold the timepiece together. There are watches for both men and women of this watch collection.

The collection has a 40mm wide version for men, and two versions for women at 27mm and 32mm wide. The women’s versions have Swiss ETA quartz movements, while the men’s version is further available with an ETA 2824 automatic movement. The cases have a nice mixture of polished and brushed surfaces. Crystal is sapphire and the cases are water resistant to 50 meters.

While the men’s version has a simple glossy black or white dial,fake omega, the women’s models have a large variety of styles. This includes various dials (including mother-of-pearl),replica rolex, as well as a number of diamond decoration options. While the Classic Sport collection is meant to be a simple and attractive entry level model for the brand, the price can easily go up in the women’s models that feature a lot of stones on the dial and bezel. Plus, there is even a diamond decorated men’s model for those who demand it.

Legibility is quite good on the uncluttered dials, though the dial design isn’t the epitome of exciting. Ebel sports watch is very impressive. The sporty yet classic and elegant design makes the watch look fantastic while people are doing sports with it. Priced well, the watches will also help newcomers enter the brand-which really does have visually pleasing and comfortable to live with timepieces. Ebel watches are not as expensive as watches from other world famous brands. So people are more willing to buy such a watch.

Though I have mentioned Temption Cherubin watches before, I’ve never featured the Cherubin GDA model. Another limited edition (500 pieces) Cherubin model. This is likely to be one of the most sophisticated Cherubin watches, and this model is beautiful with its red trimmed parts. The watch also comes in different trims including blue, green, and a few others I believe. The Cherubin watches are at the top of the German Temption’s line-up. Highly stylized watches that clearly retain class and dignity without succumbing to any fleeting appeal of avant garde design. Basically I am saying that while there are no other watches out there that resemble the Temption Cherubin GDA, but nevertheless the Cherubin fits in nicely with other high-end watches and has lasting appeal.

Actually, a saleer on eBay of a new Temption Cherubin GDA posted images of the Cherubin right next to a similarly hued Rolex Yachtmaster. It is fascinating to see the two watches together. The Cherubin is large, much more whimsical in its approach, while the Rolex is a bit smaller and far more conservative. You could easily see the same person having both watches in their collection, the watches seeming to satisfy completely different needs, but still being able to exist together.

These watches are extremely hard to find, which is a shame. Temption doesn’t even make 1000 watches a year,fake omega, so they put their all in each on that is made. Like I said, the Cherubin is a bit like Temption’s flagship model, and retails at over $6,000. The one on eBay is over $4,000 right now. You are likely going to pay between $3,000 – $5,000 for a new or good condition Cherubin watch.

This particular model comes with both a metal bracelet and leather strap, which is nice. It has one of the coolest bracelets I know of in terms of looks. The metal on the case and bracelet is a specially machined steel to give it a matte (satin) finish, yet retain an obviously metallic look. The dial looks to be the same finish, and is rhodiumized. The beautiful red coated hands and hour indexes glow with a pale light in the dark.

Inside is a special movement enhanced by Temption. They call it the Caliber T20.1, and it is based on the Dubois-Depraz 4900 automatic movement. Although it appears to resemble an ETA Valjoux 7750 in function it is larger,replica cartier, has about twice as many jewels in the movement, and is has some other interesting differences. The calendar is an annual calendar meaning you only need to adjust it during leap years, thus it knows the month, and how many days the month has. Most noticeable of course is the big date complication, which is very nicely integrated. It also has a pulsimeter around the bezel (for measuring pulse) as part of the chronograph function that it has.

To compliment the red trim in the watch, ruby gem cabochons are placed in the crown and pushers. Temption has always done this, and it represents one of their best hallmark features. You’ll be hard pressed to find another watch that is as unique and as handsome as the Temption Cherubin GDA. It is a great watch, and a pretty good value considering its Swiss counterparts.
